former head of the LADP has agreed to plead guilty to a bribery charge in corruption case

The previous head of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has consented to confess to a pay off charge in a debasement case that elaborate the utility and City Atty. Mike Feuer’s office, prosecutors said Monday.

David H. Wright, 62, of Riverside took kickbacks from a legal advisor in return for his authority activity for a $30-million, no-bid DWP contract, authorities said. Wright likewise conceded in the supplication arrangement that he partook in a few other degenerate plans while filling in as head of DWP, officials said.

Paul Paradis, the lawyer whose company got the agreement, concurred last week to confess to one count of pay off and is helping out the continuous government criminal examination. Paradis had started secretively helping out the FBI by late March 2019, investigators said Monday.

The FBI attacked the DWP and other city workplaces in July 2019, inciting Mayor Eric Garcetti to eliminate Wright from his job.
