LA Dept of Recreation and Parks will reopen about 30 of its pools

The Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks will reopen almost 30 of its pools Monday, with perfect timing for triple-digit temperatures.

The pools will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on non-weekend days and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on ends of the week from June 14 through 20.

Beginning on June 19, pools will be accessible for swim exercises, aquatic sports and the lesser lifeguard program. All members should follow COVID-19 rules.

From June 21-Aug. 14 pools will be open from 10 a.m. to7 p.m. or then again 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on non-weekend days and 1 to 5 p.m. on ends of the week. From Aug. 15 to Sept. 6 pools will be open 2 to 6 p.m. on work days and 1 to 5 p.m. on ends of the week.

The department will deliver the rundown of open pools on Monday and hopes to reopen more pools as summer advances.
