Kern County in both directions Interstate 5 closed due to snow

Interstate 5 shut on Monday night in the two directions in Kern County because of snow, Caltrans said.

Northward traffic is affected at Parker Road in Castaic and Southbound at Grapevine Road.

Drivers are asked to look for changed courses as the concise winter weather hits the region.

A colder time of year weather warning was essentially from Monday at 8 a.m. through Tuesday at 9 a.m. for the Los Angeles County mountains.

As indicated by the National Weather Service, snow is relied upon to fall as low as possible make for dangerous driving conditions along Interstate 5 and other mountain roads.
