-

Evacuations were lifted in Jurupa Valley Thursday night after a wildfire broke out before in the day and burned 30 sections of land, authorities said.

The Jurupa Fire was accounted for about 2:15 p.m. close to Van Buren Boulevard and Jurupa Road, CalFire Riverside authorities tweeted. Around that time, 2 sections of land had burned at a sluggish rate, yet by 4 p.m. authorities said the blaze had developed to 40 sections of land.

Firefighters later changed the figure to 30 sections of land, and said the blaze was 40% contained.

Authorities tweeted not long before 5 p.m. that positive headway on the blaze had halted.

Starting at 9 p.m., specialists lifted clearing orders that had been set up on Felspar Street between 54th Street and 56th Street, and Pedley Road between 54th Street and 56th Street.

Residents are being approached to stay away from the space.
