White supremacist flyers have been springing up in Southern California’s beach networks.
The most recent episode happened early Wednesday morning. Surveillance video caught an individual posting bigoted flyers outside the workplaces of the Teachers Association of Long Beach.
The flyer – which says “WE MUST get the presence of our kin and a future for WHITE kids” — had been posted over a Black Lives Matter flyer in the window. A few of the flyers were posted on businesses along Atlantic Avenue.
“It was truly hostile particularly on the grounds that it was at the Teachers Union,” said Denise Kuper, an entrepreneur. “Their principle objective is to educate all the kids in Long Beach Unified, which our little girl goes to.”
Long Beach police said they knew about the flyers, and that while they support residents’ First Amendment rights to free discourse, they denounce any types of disdain discourse.
“We won’t endure any criminal dangers or potentially viciousness, and implementation moves will be made against the individuals who carry out such demonstrations,” a tweeted message from Long Beach police said.
“It’s difficult to dispose of this sort of bias disdain against America,” said Rinaldo Ricks, a Long Beach resident.
A week ago, correspondingly phrased flyers were found in Huntington Beach, some with rocks. Photographs presented via online media showed the flyers said, “white lives do matter,” and asserted “our predecessors settled the grounds, set up the nation, made the laws” in a call for “white civil rights.”
Anybody with information on this episode is approached to call the Long Beach Police Department.
