Hurry Curry of Tokyo on Sawtelle Boulevard is shutting its entryways following 33 years.
The restaurant’s proprietor reported its conclusion saying, “It is with incredible bitterness that we declare the end of Hurry Curry of Tokyo following 33 years in business. We have lost our rent and will serve our last supper toward the finish of February.”
The proprietors proceeded, “We are particularly glad for our numerous magnificent workers throughout the long term who addressed us so well and arranged and served what we felt was the best curry in Los Angeles.”
“We are additionally pleased to have been a critical piece of the improvement of Sawtelle Blvd from a lethargic road close to the 405 to a force to be reckoned with of dining. It is the road L.A. goes for Asian food. In conclusion, thank you to our clients who have upheld us during that time and we unquestionably desire to see all of you, and serve you a last couple of plates of curry, all through February.”
The restaurant made a worker GoFundMe page to help the individuals who worked for them. The restaurant said 100% of the gifts will go towards supporting their colleagues.
The restaurant’s two areas in Seattle will stay open.
