Subsequent to being covered for longer than a year, Regal Cinemas is the most recent significant performance center chain to start returning its theaters across the Southland.
Regal Cinemas declared Wednesday it will resume six theaters Friday in midtown L.A., Southgate, West Covina, Temecula, Santa Clarita and Irvine.
Cinemas in Los Angeles and Orange counties got the OK to resume in mid-March when they were redesigned from the purple to red tiers of California’s returning blueprint.
AMC has resumed a few theaters, alongside Cinemark. The iconic TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood returned Monday to much display. The acclaimed El Capitan Theater in Hollywood returned on March 19.
Under the rules for the red tier, capacity is restricted to 25% or 100 people, whichever is fewer.
Be that as it may, Orange County moved into the orange tier on Wednesday, which expands cinema capacity to half or 200 people, whichever is fewer. L.A. County will move into the orange tier this coming Monday, April 3.
