?As front-line healthcare workers keep on being extended far by the pandemic and large numbers of COVID-19 hospitalizations, four California healthcare organizations will get a consolidated $8.7 million in federal funding to battle burnout and advance psychological wellness among staff members trying to control weakening.
The Health Resources and Services Administration granted Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, Touro University in Vallejo and the San Diego-based San Ysidro Health system with the awards, which will be distributed more than three years.
Kids’ Hospital will get more than $2.1 million, Samuel Merritt will get more than $2 million, Touro will get almost $1.6 million, and San Ysidro Health will get almost $3 million.
The money is essential for more than $100 million that will be conveyed to 45 associations the nation over, supported by last year’s $1.9-trillion American Rescue Plan.
