A big rig toppled Thursday on the transition road from the Artesia (91) Freeway to the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, obstructing admittance to both the north and southward San Gabriel River Freeway and causing migraines for scores of drivers.
The rig, which was stacked with vegetable oil, slammed on the eastward Artesia Freeway transition toward the northward San Gabriel River Freeway around 9:30 a.m., as indicated by the California Highway Patrol.
An unsafe materials group was dispatched to the scene, yet there was no spill, nor were there wounds, as per the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A SigAlert was given by the CHP at 9:47 a.m. as the transition road was closed down. Caltrans reported at about 6:40 p.m. that the eastward Artesia Freeway transition toward the northward San Gabriel River Freeway was resumed.
