Los Angeles Unified School District will drop its outdoor masking requirement for students and staff one week from now, the superintendent reported Friday.
“In alignment with the Department of Public Health and with direction from our clinical chief and wellbeing accomplices, outdoor masking will be discretionary for all people in Los Angeles Unified Schools powerful February 22 2022,” Supt. Alberto Carvalho said in an articulation posted on Twitter.
The relaxed policy will produce results on Tuesday, because of the President’s Day occasion on Monday. Those taking an interest in games on Monday, in any case, can unmask while outside, Carvalho said.
Masks are as yet required inside at schools across the state.
