Los Angeles County beaches were reopened after wild night of thunder and lightning

-

Los Angeles County beaches were returned Tuesday morning after a fall storm brought a wild evening of thunder and lightning to Southern California.

Beaches from the San Pedro area to Malibu, including Avalon and Catalina Island, were shut because of risky lightning strikes, L.A. Area lifeguards tweeted soon after 4:30 p.m. Monday.

No injuries were accounted for except for lightning strikes caused a lot of harm around the locale.

A few trees in a Long Beach area disintegrated subsequent to being touched off by an evident lightning strike.

The fire spread to a close by boat and capacity shed before the flares were at last soaked.

“I’ve never heard that uproarious of a sound previously,” inhabitant Blue Philips said.

Somewhere around two power lines were pushed over in the midst of the stormy climate in the West Los Angeles area.

Businesses and homes close to Sepulveda and Pico avenues were emptied as Los Angeles Fire Department officials dealt with the circumstance.

“The voltage is so extreme it could truly take out an individual’s life like this,” LAFD Capt. Cody Weireter said while snapping his fingers.

Lightning strikes even postponed the NFL game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders at SoFi Stadium in Inglewoo
