Pasadena officials on Tuesday dropped a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for senior citizens, grocery store employees and other fundamental specialists after many individuals who were not qualified for the shots pursued appointments.
Individuals who didn’t yet meet all requirements for the vaccine under state rules guaranteed around 900 of the 1,500 openings at a clinic that was intended for individuals more seasoned than 65 and fundamental specialists who live or work in Pasadena, said city representative Lisa Derderian.
Large numbers of the appointments were reserved by individuals who worked in the news media and in Hollywood, Derderian said, including at creation companies, streaming TV services, media sources and on the arrangements of dramas.
“Hundreds joined inside the primary hour,” Derderian said. “It resembled fast fire.”
